2018 Finger Lakes Kennel Club Good Sportsmanship Award

Each year the person that receives the FLKC Good Sportsmanship Award is responsible, along with the recipient of the previous year to select the member who they feel is most deserving at that time. This year our 2016 recipient, Carol Srnka, and our 2017 recipient, Susan Tosto had the honor of awarding the 2018 FLKC Good Sportsmanship Award – the following introduction was read by Susan Tosto —

I believe it’s only once in a while that a kennel club (or maybe any club) gets a really great new member. This club lucked out a few years ago, in getting a member who was born into (we could speculate maybe even bred for) the dog world. A member with a lot of knowledge – about breeding, training, judging, handling, grooming, conformation, performance events and (last but not least) promoting the club and club activities. A member who is more than happy to impart that knowledge whenever and wherever possible…a member who is always willing to lend a hand with whatever needs to be done to make it all work…a member who always congratulates and offers advice.
